What does COR/SECOR Mean?
COR/SECOR is short for Certificate of Recognition and is a process that is part of your safety manual program. COR is for large employers, while SECOR is for small sized businesses. (MECOR is a transitional program for medium sized businesses as they grow from a small to large employer – offered through ENERGY SAFETY CANADA (ENFORM) only).
The COR/SECOR process involves your safety manual program, ensuring all documentation is in place including maintenance and inspection records, Hazard ID’s, incident and statistical reporting, training records, and safety meeting records. The ideal outcome ensures that your workers and company are safer via safety awareness and actions.
